The suggestion floating around this side is to make the DNS query of
aa.bb.cc.dd return a TXT with a collision indicator and then query
md5sum.aa.bb.cc.dd to keep the hash clean and the reuslt good

(What goes in the TXT is open to debate. Tagged UTF8 would be good for
your case and allow things like Japanese CDROMs to be stored too)
