A firewall that blocks DNS traffic would have to have some relaying - if
not http would be useless, right!
I can't see why DNS-relaying should be a problem.

There are? And they don't relay?? I can't see how that can be right.
What I can't see is why DNS is wanted for this? (Maybe I joined in too
late to get the point - is there a list archive?)
DNS is good at replicating and distributing data - the problem is that
you need an central authority! Can't see how that fits this problem....
