The CDindex edit facility is very nice, and will no doubt help to reduce
the number of bogus or slightly wrong entries in the database, especially
for popular CDs.
Unfortunately I've just found my first problem which it can't fix, and
I'm responsible (ducks)
I put my entire collection into CDindex a few days ago, and today I was
playing with my GTK+ client, when I noticed that it said I was listening
to "Under the Pink", when it was clearly "Little Earthquakes".
Seems that somehow when I was entering my copy of "Little Earthquakes"
which has CDindex ejdrdtX1ZyvCb0g6vfJejVaLIK8- I had a copy of UTP on my
desk, and being the same number of tracks, it was listed by CDindex as
a possible match -- so I chose the wrong one...
So. How do I fix this? And more importantly, when 1000 people hit submit
every day, how will CDindex cope with the 10 or so who screw up and add
a pointer to the wrong existing record?
Nick.
