yes, except that with only a few HTTP servers the answer to the host IP query
is more likely to be cached on my providers DNS server than my music selection,
so I would expect it to be faster.

Of course, trying to predict performance in a caching system is difficult
without making assumptions about the domain of the queries. I agree with Alan,
again, though. Caching, in general, is good, and the DNS hands it out for free.
